Statuesque members of the waterfowl family, which come in a range of ornamental and more utilitarian breeds. 

Although they require some access to fresh water, geese are remarkably good grazers.  Often feared or kept to ward off intruders, some of the more domestic breeds can also make docile and attractive additions to a farm or garden.

Geese should always be kept in pairs or larger groups (gaggles!).
